Was checking this out before I saw the review. Sounded decent but not amazing. This review will make me listen a few more times though to be sure.

i find it difficult to understand how there are people out there that don't see how this is unfathomably derivative
|

I remember digging the single so I hope this has 5 or 6 sweet jams like Shrines did

I'm a bit worked up about the odesza comparison actually. "In Return" is such a diverse record with a host of different influences, ideas and sounds. While this is basically the same bleeb-bloop happy electro track 10 times in a row. On the surface i see where your comparison is coming from, but I think it's a pretty big disservice to "In Return".
The only song that kinda fits the bill would be "Say my Name" and while that song could be a purity ring song, it's easily better than any song I heard on this album.

what i want to know is
what happened to the melodies
|
| |
melodies are for children tbh
i feel like pc music/le bubblegum bass has had an influence on the sound of this album actually which is rather remarkable

Haha it would have been the first post I made if I was that concerned. I just noticed you a lot in the comments section, nothing against you. I just didn't think you'd hang around since you seem to dislike the album so much. I've been on here a while just never thought to make a contribution to the site until now. Thanks for the welcome
