I like Golden Age more than Eat Me, but I agree the latter is really underrated.

EMDM wasn't his last best. I fucking love The High End of Low. It's like Manson indulging in Nick

Cave sorrow and post-punk sex. Born Villain quickly grew off me.

Plus, "I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies" is one of his best songs.

He lots all quality when High End landed imo, he salvaged a little of the wreckage on BV. Good to see he's back in the game with this.

If this was to be his last album I'd be happy with that.

Golden Age was full of shallow, catchy tunes on purpose. The entire thing was about the death of art and everything becoming disposable.

The High End Of Low is his weakest record, it's inconsistent and somehow all that nostalgia doesn't fit him.

I caved and bought the deluxe gatefold vinyl, due to the horrendous packaging on the CD and the vinyl is sooo much better. The artwork really is the best thing he's had done since Holy Wood.

Get on the vinyl Tuna. I'm gutted I didn't get that in the first place, comes with a digi download of the album and you get loads of cool shit in it. That artwork...

I've never really been a big Manson fan. This was a pleasant surprise, actually.

I really like this album, but it is a bit lazy and obvious at times. Might move up to a 3.5 after I listen to it a few more times though.

The only thing that's lazy sometimes is his lyrics. But the repetitive nature of the lyrics suits the style, so it's all good.

Yeah, he's been lazy with the lyrics lately. Sometimes it's too much, but he seems to have realized there was too much repetition on Born Villain. There's more room for music on PE.
