I think he's doing a pretty good job. This album ain't amazing but it is good. I recommend seeing them live. Caught them on their plainsong tour. Unbelievable

This album was a pretty big grower for me. The first few listens, I didn't care much at all for it. I LOVE 'Being Beige' now, among a few others, notably One and All, Monuments, and Anti-Hero.

Can't believe the hate for Oceania. That album is fantastic. Just listen to those guitar tones, like damn. The best of Corgan's career in that aspect. Plus, the overall sound of the album is very original. I cant pinpoint what it sounds like at all

I've heard Siamese Dream, but that tone can be recreated. If you've ever used a hi wattage tube head (100w) with a ton of headroom, and yes i know corgan used a jcm 800 modded with kt88s for extra headroom, you'd know what i mean. But any 2 channel 100w tube amp should do the job. Just get that amp as loud as she'll go on the clean channel before breakup (kt88s added for extra room) then push a big muff through with some sort of overdrive pedal in front. Add a phase 90 for leads, congratulations you've got siamese dream tone. And I believe Billy used and uses celestion g12-65s or 75s for speakers. could be either one
Don't use it live though, you'll regret it. But how do you get a sound remotely similar to oceania? Beats me, man. not to say that because SD's tone can be recreated its bad, its just oceanias confuses me in the best way. Its so harmonic and full sounding. But has amp gain stage qualities.
