Bands usually take a sonic detour around album #3, but Massachusetts act Pvris have done so while presenting their debut LP ‘White Noise’. It surprisingly works very well too, with the trio infusing the raw & passionate alt-rock of their self-titled EP with a significant electro edge. Thankfully, neither style dominates the other, with Pvris showing a real knack for textured, atmospheric build-ups that are followed by satisfying explosions. Out front, Lynn Gunn's vocals have improved markedly, exuding a confidence which is all over this record that not only shows genuine promise, but also crossover appeal. Recommended Tracks: St. Patrick, My House, Let Them In & Fire.
