Unearth are pioneers so they get a pass regardless if they are generic or not. Personally I believe Unearth's sound is executed well and has enough differences that it can still appeal to veteran metalcore fans.

I still need to check this. Unearth are easily the best out of the pool of melodic metalcore bands that started popping up in the early-mid 2000s.
