Since when was there a big 3? I'm not the authority on the matter but I think most people recognize Bergtatt, Kveld and Nattens as their defining records and often refer to them together in some form.

Well they're certainty not their defining albums seeing as the bigger part of Ulver's discog isn't even related to black metal. And they're also not their most popular albums either so big 3 doesn't really work at all.

I was just curious as I've never seen them referred to as that before. Their big 3 in terms of popularity and acclaim would have to be this, Shadows and Bergtatt.
