@art Haha yep, IMO radiohead and ulver are both about as good as experimenting will ever be.

Experimentation is such an amazing thing if it's done well.

that's quite a dumb thing to say mongi because there are just so many ways to experiment with

one's sound

Agreed hard art. It's a shame that a good number of artists like to stay within their "limits" though.

I can see having trouble with Hubardo due to the length but Choirs? Sure it's not mainstream stuff but I

don't think it's a tough listen at all

i don't really think mongi is exactly the person who'd love choirs straight from the first listen. it's still pretty damn experimental and sometimes even minimal, although it's goddamn beautiful

bath's sound is a lot more convenient and should be more pleasing for mongi at first listen

Other great experimental acts (in addition to Radiohead, Ulver, and Kayo Dot which all rule hard): Mr. Bungle, Scott Walker, Swans (duh), Liars, The Books, Tom Waits, The Microphones, Janelle Monae, Captain Beefheart, Black Dice, Beck, Sunn O))), Talking Heads, David Bowie, etc...
