With my comment I was essentially paraphrasing what the band's statement had said about the new album. I think they were just trying to explain how it sounded, but obviously it's gonna be pretty different from this, as they really never release the same album twice.

doesn't sound like coffins so far agreed. going by the two tracks, this largely scrubs the gothic element on coffins in favor of more chaotic futuristic techno rock fusion whatever the fuck

i think the new album does the best job of distinguishing itself as something totally musically different if we're comparing it to hubardo and this. it doesn't really resemble any established genre at any given moment, while this and hubardo did some genre mixing while also doing more completely out there stuff as well. phobos is entirely out there. i like it more than this, but only by a little bit.
