Hey.. Thnx for the comments...

Anyway I think that there is nothing wrong with having a lot of reviews for a single cd..

If there are a lot of reviews for one album, it just means that it is garnering a lot of public attention... Having said that it follows that there will be people who disagree with one another whether the band is good or just over-rated.. The purpose of reviews is to give these people a chance to express what they truly feel about a given band.. The more the attention, the more the revies will be

Thanks for the comments again.. I really appreci8 them.. this being my first review ang all..... :DThis Message Edited On 04.25.06

I think Departure is underrated

It's a lot better than what people give it credit for

I'm not a fan of Trivium... but I do know that they aren't hardcore. Why are they classified as it?

Dying in your arms and Departure are my favourite songs off this album, mainly because there's less screaming in them than any other song, they're a good band thou, they're song's are well structured, the riffs are memorable and the solos are fantastic, now if only the screaming was gone, luckily from what Ive heard their next album is going to have far less screaming in it than Ascendency

I think Matt's singing voice is quite tolerable but still quite bad..

I only hope that it improves, in terms of its power and impact, as time passes..

You have to admit though, he can sing quite well judging by the few times that he actually sang in ascendancy..

Who cares bout the screaming man? That the best bit!!! well maybe not but for me with the music it sort of whats makes them metalcore isn't? And i don't agree with the "not another ascendancy review", sooo drunken vikings right, isnt tht what Sputnik was created for? and anyways we all have our opinions of band/albums/songs. Great first review though.

Correction: he could. If he hires a professional voice coach like M Shadows did.

He sounds the same as every other crap screamer who thinks he doesn't need professional coaching and lessons: a refugee from Jurassic Park. "Squawk, squawk!! Squawkaquawksquawk squawk... SQUAAAWWWK!!"This Message Edited On 05.01.06

Thanks jayb999..

I don't really like the screaming, but I do agree with you that it blends great with their style..

Multiple reviews for one album, I think, should be encouraged rather than condemned since it gives, as i said earlier, the public a better outlook towards the said band and whether or not they are good or just over-rated..

Thanks again... :D

Ok....

CAn someone explain to me what makes metalcore, metalcore??..

How come so many genres of metal are popping out lately.. Can't we just classify them all as metal bands??..

:D... Whatever happens though, whatever genre they fall under.. Trivium rocks!!!!!This Message Edited On 05.01.06

They are more thrash, but that doesn't mean they fall under the thrash genre.
