5. Drukqs

It wasn't terrible. Just nothing comparing to his 90s work. (coming from a metal guy, if I even count)
Great review.

Never thought I'd say this from an Aphex Twin song, but 180db_[130] is a repetitively awful track. XMAS_EVET10[120][thanaton3 mix] is one of Richard's best songs of all time, though.

"That's the point dude.

There's nothing new or super exciting anywhere and yet a twisted Cornish Fella who had been plying his trade for quater of a century can still create a sonic gem."

uhhh what? weirdest reasoning ever

I would have thought that saying something had "nothing new or super exciting" on it would imply that I didn't think it was a "sonic gem"

he definitely gets point for being Cornish though; you're spot on there. Lovely place, Cornwall.

douchebaggery aside this was a lot better than i thought it was going to be. still has a lot of over indulgent spazz action cushioning the select moments of greatness and a typical amount of extremely corny bleepadee bloop sterile ass sounding DOS computer bullshit but over all i was surprised with the amount of moments that i enjoyed.

but yeah again, my favourite track was the one that was just piano so that really says a lot about my enjoyment of aphex twin as a whole.

he's definitely been outdone by the people he's influenced, but still knows how to make a great jam.., well, most of the time.

i agree. my favourite parts of drukqs were the piano tunes. he should really make a full album of them, bet it'd be fantastic
