Uhh, depends if you're referring to 2014 albums or just what I've been jamming recently.

Latter: Absu - Tara, Slough Feg - Traveller, Anaal Nathrakh - Vanitas, Fear Before - The Always Open Mouth, Death - ITP, Beastmilk - Climax, Diabolical Masquerade - Nightwork, The Ongoing Concept - Saloon

Former: iamthemorning - Belighted, Banks - Goddess, Diocletian - Gesundrian, Rx Bandits - Gemini, Her Majesty, Saor - Aura, Panopticon - Roads to the North, United Nations - The Next Four Years

Something along those lines.

The closest thing to tech death I listen to is Artifical Brain, Quo Vadis and Augury. I don't like the majority of tech death.

There's no "symphonic" death metal. And I don't like Tech Death (and the majority of melodeath for that matter) because of the substitution of good songwriting for "deep/more thoughtful/progressive/whatever" lyrical themes, monochromatic wankery (i.e. monotonous riffs) and often a general incoherence. Not to mention that I don't like too polished Death Metal because I feel it just doesn't work well for the genre.

Artificial Brain is already on the fence when it comes to that.

"This > Dance Gavin Dance imo"

On one hand I do enjoy more of their songs, but on the other hand Dance Gavin Dance has some of the best screams ever. I do prefer Hail the Sun overall but DGD's highlights are insaaaaane.

Dude. Septic Flesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse are both Symphonic Death Metal.

Vocals sound distinctly like Anthony Green, almost frighteningly-so.

Legit sounds like TSOAF if the vox were only Anthony Green and they were a little less outright weird.

I dig this, I like the vocals more on this album. Their were a couple of times on their last EP where they sounded just weird or really

nasally

I've only listened to it once and was pretty well entertained for the most part but we'll see what multiple listens do

Wolfhorde confirmed pleb. bitching about vocals. typical metalhead, probably enjoys classic rock crap that uses the same vocal techniques.

'Human Target Practice' bangs. I'll have to make a tab for it soon.

Despite a fair amount of negativity in the comments, the album was well received, 4.2 with like 50 votes isn't bad at all. I think people will be talking about this more in time
