I saw them live last night with Animals as Leaders and Between the Buried and Me, The Contortionist was great. Lessard is as excellent live as on the album

Exoplanet has some brilliant moments (Flourish comes to mind) but I don't think it's as acomplished as this. Maybe it's the decrease of deathcore sections on this one. Also I much prefer the vocals here.

They're such different albums I find them really hard to compare directly, I just love them both. I think this album leaves me more in awe than Exoplanet, but Exo just nails the heavy/soft contrast.

I much prefer this style over deathcore at this point, so I'm guessing if I listen to all three albums again this will be my favorite. Exoplanet is one of the best deathcore ever recorded though.

ye there is good deathcore alright, it's just that this album is not about "less deathcore stuff" as much as "no deathcore stuff at all". this was in response to one comment suggesting the former
