@Jtswope I really don't see how anything on here sounds lifeless. Everything on here is extremely vibrant, emotional and beautiful to me. It's so passionate in it's lyrical content and dreary atmosphere it's crazy. Plus, it's one memorable melody after another.

It is much more polished than a lot of Anathema records, but that definitely doesn't make it lifeless.
It has a certain sombre kind of life to it. It definitely isn't lively, but it still sounds very inspired.

Agreed so hard. I guess I could see how people would interpret it as lifeless though. The vocals sound so apathetic, but I think it plays perfectly to the themes of the album.
