I find it hilarious that I was basically alone headbanging during Artifacts of the Black Rain, while almost everyone sang along to Delight and Angers.

I bet some of In Flames albums would sound amazing on vinyl.

but seriously what the fuck is up with the new album. they finished it in May, and released snippets of two songs in a video announcing a tour, but haven't announced anything about the album itself. it'll probably suck but it's still weird they've been so quiet about it
|
| |
maybe they're embarrassed about it

the snippets they released were actually pretty okay. way more along the lines of Sounds of a Playground Fading than this, albeit with some cheesy anthemic gang vocal chorus thing in the second one

They played it on the radio before a couple of days and people who heard it said that it only has clean vocals and it sounds like something off this album. The second part of the snippet is the last chorus

Sounds like nu In Flames, but better than anything off of Siren Charms. The production isn't god awful, so I guess that's a plus.
There's a guitar solo at the end that's not half bad, but that lead tone sounds like it's being recorded through a megaphone.

The new song was rather good for modern In Flames.
