New song was alright. More of the same and just sounded like a retread of this album, which is pleasing but I was hoping Josh would have pushed the sound further.

Id check out some live vids of them on youtube and then decide if you want to go. They are very different live and do a lot of semi poorly done improvisational shit, which can be a major turn off. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed them live.

how would've you liked them to push their sound

song is a certified banger btw

I don't understand all the people saying they're awful live. Like I could get if it just wasn't your thing, but I don't see how you could think it's objectively bad. They are pure energy and unpredictability and very tight, well executed improvisation. My favorite live band going right now. I will see them every time they come through.
If you're thinking about not going because of something someone said on here, at least give yourself a chance to make your own decision and go see them once.

I haven't seen them yet, but if it's anything like the Chariot, I can imagine why it's polarizing. The first time I saw the Chariot, it was awesome. The second time was a spastic mess... only comparable show I can muster is when I saw Dillinger, but DEP executed the style perfectly and did the songs justice whereas the Chariot left a lot to be desired.
