Cynic blow Atheist out of the water, and so do Death and Gordion Knot and most bands who've done this kinda stuff.

I'd put this and Unquestionable Presence at about the same level of greatness.

Great album.
Worth checking out are Gordian Knot and Aghora, since both bands feature former Cynic members.

If you're going to check out those two bands, then you might as well check out Atheist too, and then Gnostic since it contains three members of Atheist ;)

Death's Human album has 2 Cynic member in it.
The robot vocals grew on me, I really like them now.

yep. paul and sean. Chuck wanted Sean to be on ITP too if i'm not mistaken. the robot vocals are so awesome, they are so different that they are bound to draw a lot of negative response but i think they are incredible. the part on VoM that Paul does with his voice is incredible; the short section where he is just using his voice as an instrument i mean.
and i don't why but i've had this line from VoM stuck in my head all day:
Charmer who will be believed by man who thirsts to be deceived...This Message Edited On 12.06.07

In the last segement of recmmendations, the song it Sentiment, not Sentiments, but it doesn't really matter.

so because i'm a noob means I just heard this album yesterday? not so my friend.
I've had this album in my collection for a while, and i guess the synthed vocals are cool at times, but they get overused. I'm curious to see what this album would sound like without them.

if you want to hear it without those vocals then download the 1991 roadrunner demo, which has uroboric forms and the eagle nature using only brutal vocals and some clean, no computer vocals.
and that previous comment was only a "light hearted jab" - I was just kidding, don't take any offense.

Hmm...instrumentally this was amazing. I actually quite liked the vocals too. But for some reason, it just didn't hit me as "amazing" like I expected. Only two listens, however. I'm expecting it to grow on me.
