You dislike rush boney ? That's a novelty
But seriously, this album has a really good instrumental work, rob and brad show a vast improvement in their respective roles, chester's vocals depsite of certain problems were very solid, the highlights are intense as fuck, the lyrics are more mature and well constructed for the most part specially in tracks like rebellion and mark the graves, the collaborations of page hamilton and daron malakian were epic as fuck and the closer track is one of the greatest hard rock songs of all time. They showcased that they could add to their elements from guns n roses, jane's addiction, refused, helmet, black flag, NOFX and more with very good results, even the production is good despite of been less stellar than the job done by Rick Rubin or Don Gilmore. The only problem is that linkin did a bad job with the marketing of this album and that the singles aren't as catchy as their previous efforts. But a rating of 1 for this is retarded as fuck and most of the people who 1 this haven't heard masterpieces like mark the graves or a line in the sand, I can understand a 1 for OML or recharged but this is an excellent hard rock/ alt metal album and is a shame that this didn't became chester's swan song and is even worse that they haven't explored me the sound of this effort before the tragedy, gladly neil peart, tony kakko and even the members of run the jewels agree with me that this is a sickass effort

It's fine that you love this, everyone has different tastes. I only listened once and that was a while ago so I can't defend specifics on why I dislike it but rest assured it was very much not for me.
I've only heard one Rush album and it's not bad but I didn't get the hype, seemed pretty cheesy and overly wanky to me, guy's vox were annoying too after a while.

Jam clockwork angels, most of the folks who thought rush was cheesy changed of opinion when they heard jam like caravan or headlong flight

Some diehard fans, like myself, love this song mainly because of Rob Bourdon's drumming. It's not technical or really original or whatever, but a lot of fun to listen to IMO

Is perhaps the best closer of LP, is a mashup of all the elements present in the six albums of LP, basiclly 6 minutes and 30 seconds of pure joy, the lyrics related to the end of a tyrannical regime are dope, insturmentation is epic as fuck, the chorus is pure power and the best part is the ending of that track. Holy shit fella, those last minutes were completely improvised and the solo of brad with the vocals of chester was a match made in fuckin vallhalla or in the fuckin heaven

this will go down as a classic now because it was the last excellent effort in LP trying to go back to their aggressive roots.
Is a shame that LP did a bad job marketing this album claiming that it was an effort just for a small niche, if they have done a better marketing campaign this could have been an influential effort that inspired other rock bands to took a heavier or more guitar oriented path. As a whole this album is almost at the same level of hybrid and meteora, the highlights are at the same level of stuff like a place for my head and breakin the habit, the lyrics of this effort are the strongest ones seen in a LP album and here they touched a wide variety of topics, this effort is even more diverse, political and eclectic than MTM, the improvent related in the insturmental part was vast as fuck and showcased that rob and brad could do a lot epic shit, it never loses momentum and with this effort linkin incorporated alt metal, hard rock, hardcore punk and metalcore elements to their formula; besides final masquerade was one of the best power ballads made by the group, the vocal part is also very good depsite of chester's problems and the rap parts of shinoda are well crafted

Woah I knew from the breakdown onward in A Line in the Sand was spontaneous but improvised? That makes the song even more badass

In fact if this album had a more polished production the voice of chester in tracks like GATS, Until it's gone, Final Masquerade and Wastelands would have sounded kinda similar to the stuff contained in living things like in my remains or I'll be gone, but it was clear that chester was burnt out
