Album grows so damn much. Every song is infectious. I didn't like it that much at first due to the different direction to first temple, but now I think it's just as good.

Yeah agreed. It seems scatterbrained as fuck first listen but on further listens every song pretty much makes structural sense ('cept Dinosaur)

Dino makes a lot more structural sense to me than songs like The Fool and Pink Lemonade. Its flaw is that its components fail to stand out on the album.

Yeah the title track is one I forgot to mention but that one doesn't really seem to have any sort of verse-chorus formula whatsoever. But I think it works because it's chock-full of awesome melodies although I'd still rank it low out of all the songs here. The Fool is just ok but easy to ignore either way

Persevering with this, and though there's some great stuff it really is a difficult album to get through. And that last song needs to die.

tbh this seems like the kinda album that would suck live. even tho i love it.

it comes across as very constructed for studio purposes

Well I Saw them a fortnight ago now.

To be honest they weren't great. I talked to the guitarist beforehand; it seems like they've been sucked of all energy and enthusiasm for music and they were kinda ... bored. Cinque still hilarious though.

That's really unusual cause they seemed to have tons of enthusiasm when making the album, going by the video updates they posted. Maybe they were just a little burned out?

They shared a facebook post a few weeks ago saying they're already planning album 3.

Yeah, pretty sure this is AOTY 2014. Not sure if it'd be any good live, but recorded, it's the best thing I've heard all year

I've seen them live a few times this year and yeah the guitarists seem to be quite focussed (I wouldn't say bored, but I can't read their minds haha) but damn these songs are so much fun live! and agreed, Cinque is hilarious and full of energy.

They're probably trying to keep track of all dem notes and time changes.
