Regarding the production, I find the sound clear but tame. Apparently the band originally wanted to
record this at Sunlight Studios. Since they recorded the 2nd LP there, its interesting to imagine how
TRITSIO would have sounded.
sweet album man that average is too low
Digging: Hooded Menace - Darkness Drips Forth
Best thing this band ever did.
These sputnik posers go on and on about Slaughter of the Soul. The first half of that album is good, the second half sucks. They like it because it's catchy, but basically everything is forgettable after the first 2 tracks and it gets boring fast.
This album riffs hard and doesn't stop, just listen to Kingdom Gone, Within, and Claws Of Laughter Dead. The creative songwriting, torturous screams, the disturbing atmosphere, dark melodies, and tasteful violins that come out of fucking nowhere. This album is tremendous and a poser crusher no doubt about it.
Also this review sucks... 'Hard to hear bass' Did this guy even listen to the album? The bass and the drums KILL! Yeah if this had Gardens production it would go harder, but this still works.
silverchair>>>>>>>>>>at the gates
can't wait for the new album gonna spin this so hard
Did you hear the teaser? The vocals sound like this era of Lindberg, though the guitarwork just sounds like the Haunted to my ears
Yeah Lindbergs vocals sounds awesome. The teaser sounded surprisingly great (even though it was just like barely a minute), def looking forward to it. I just hope it won't be SoTS part 2, that would piss me off
They specifically said they weren't going to make a part II so hopefully they stick true to that
New album when?
The end of October, I believe
best gates prob
Digging: Majical Cloudz - Are You Alone?
That average rating :[
The violins rule
The atmosphere in this album is simply insane.
LIFE DOESNT BELONG HEREE
Seriously one of the best death metal albums.
Classic album. Unique, Dark, Poetic. A death metal album that takes time to fully appreciate.
I do agree it gets a little bit over the top at a few moments, but this entire album is basically perfectly composed from start to finish. It requires a lot of time to be fully appreciated as ShinTensei said, but it might just really be the most compositionally complete DM album of all time. It's truly a shame how TRitSIO never will get the real recognition it really deserves because of SotS
The occasional use of violins is nothing but ingenious if you ask me though.
Wtf I didn't know At the Gates metaled THiS hard.
