2014 music needs to pick back up again : [

I think the vox would be more tolerable if they weren't so in front of the mix.
But yeah, this is disappointing.

Agreed. It's like his mouth opens to eat the entire song instead of add to it.

I will always respect this band for influencing the NYHC scene the way they did but yeah this is repetitive

2014 has given me Consumed By Elder Sign so I'm fine with it so far. Also sounds like I won't check this out but oh well.

Really good review, man. I'm liking it a bit more than you, as I don't mind the vocals too much (they're definitely the worst thing about the album). I love the presence of the bass, and the production is killer. I don't know why they decided to make it so long; 13 songs make it drag much more than it needed to, and some brevity probably would have made it more palatable to more listeners.

Pretty solid album, but one thing I can't really take in is the vocals. For me personally, I just don't think they fit with the instrumentation. Otherwise, album's pretty great.

Agreed, at least initially. I just think I got used to the vocals though. I'm really starting to love the album; it's an immediate and fun listen.

I actually like the vocals on this. I got to see them when they were touring this album and that was an awesome set. It was actually my introduction to them too. First two albums are really awesome. I think this one is close to on par with them though tbh. I dig how straightforward it is
