Kyary is a million times better as far as J-pop goes, and Dir En Grey is far superior as Japanese
Death Metal is concerned
this is just silly

this review is spot on, basically. catchy and well done but it gets old after a bit. I am surprised at the amount of variety they did get out of this, though. Makes me wonder what a second album would even have to give

Well, the album has some great songs (the death metal in Babymetal Death, Megitsune, power metal in
Benitsuki-Akatsuki, industrial metal in Catch me if you Can, the Meshuggah influences in Akumu no
Rinbukyoku or the great tune that is Headbanger !!), but they also have some not so good songs (their
first single Do Ki Do Ki Morning is annoying at best, Ii ne! is too much techno, Ijime, Dame, Zettai,
is in some part too annoying and bad and please, no more dubstep parts in metal songs -even though the
one used in U.ki.U.ki. Midnight is one of the best I've heard, but still).. I listen mainly to
progressive metal/rock, grunge or post-hardcore, but i'm loving japanese/south korean bands, and
though i don't like the idea of a band put by marketing team, still the band is talented, they make
good music and more people, mainly young people can through this band discover more metal bands, and
that is a great thing
