of the album's I've given a 4.5, this has to be one of the top 2 or 3, nearly a classic imo and almost every bit as good as RoC

Napoleon Solo is my new favorite At the Drive-In song after revisiting this album.

"Makes no difference; our alphabet is missing letters!"
Such a powerful line there.

Relationship of command was the first album I got, it took a while for me to get used to cedrics singing. In casino out was harder for me to get into but after the third listen I instantly loved it.

I was really disappointed with this after how amazing RoC is tbh. I really liked Chanbara, Napolean Solo, Hourglass, and Transatlantic Foe but that's about it. I really don't like the production.

But w/e there's time for this to grow on me.

I think the production is nearly perfect. It's recorded live, so you can't really expect the not live kind of sound found on most other albums. Personally, I think this style of production fits the band much more than say RoC, although that is a good album in its own right.

Nice review, though I disagree with your song choices. Mine are:
Hulahoop Wounds
Pickpocket, and
Lopsided.

But again, very good review. Always like to read more about ATDI.

So this grew on me. Its definitely a very good album. However tracks 5-8 really aren't that great imo, and keep this from getting a higher rating.

So yeah this is awesome. This is probably going to stay at a four though because of RoC.

I've tried so hard but this does not click with me. Its different but not in a pleasing way to my ears.

Good review, but you gave Transatlantic Foe like only one sentance, and thats the best song on the album. (in my opinion of course.)

Got to get this. I prefer the punkier, as opposed to the rockier, parts of ROC, so hoping this goes in that direction.
