No they dont. The sooner they understand this the better.

It doesn't make it any better or worse that they do though
|
| |
Well they'll still be shamelessly ripping off the legends but at least the songs will be a bit more manageable

This is a pretty solid album, in my opinion. It's not mind blowing, but I get through the album nicely.

damn the music video for Shine is honestly one of the worst videos I've seen in a while, fucking looks like a cheap christian band. Song isn't really great either actually

"portnoy has a band for each genre he wants to play" - apparently he's got a full on thrash metal project on to go atm. Sounds interesting to me.

Was stoked for this until it started playing. I woke up in the middle of the album, turned it off and continued dreaming.

Album is so boring I fell asleep. 3.0, Good.

Yeah, I should probably lower it. I thought it isn't mediocre with general standards, but for them it's definitely mediocre.

this sounds like the worst thing ever

It's not all that, but I gave it an extra .5 for the good covers. Might as well call a spade a spade and just play the old-school prog. Their first two albums are really great, but they've lost that initial supergroup magic. "Shine" is like the worst they've done too.
