Same guy involved with both bands so they get compared a lot even though both bands ended up with very different new albums

Digging: Stella Luna - Stargazer

Neige was "involved" with lantlos in providing harsh vocals on two albums (and no other contributions) as opposed to literally being alcest. comparisons are dumb. melting sun is a totally different and far better album.

Just saw them last night... their new material is pretty killer live. Especially Deliverance and L'aveit Des Muses. The pounding buildup on the latter was fantastic. Winterhalter's bass drums had a great sound to them.

It was top notch. They played it as the encore. Really good way to finish the show I think.

I can only imagine. Did they use strings of some sorts at the end, by any chance?

@ ChoccyPhilly - No, no use of strings at all... that would have been really cool though. But in all honesty, winterhalter's bass drum and whoever was the touring bassist... they had the sound on point. Really brought out some of the heaviness that you don't really get on the record because of how clean it sounds in the studio.

don't have to be overly critical to know when something's boring

I'm not overly critical, if i like it, I like it and vice versa if I don't. Liking everything would be great but to put most albums you've heard as 4+? Man, that is rare
