Smash is their worst pre-millennial album. The second half seems pretty average to me, all the energy the record has to offer can't change that.

@Supercool Cause working sucks. Everyone knows that

Damn man the second half is what I like more of Smash. Self Esteem, It'll Be A Long Time, What Happened To You?, t/t... aw. : (

imo Ixnay is a bit overrated, while Ignition is underrated.

Except for It'll Be A Long Time I don't like any of those too much. Especially don't get why almost everyone loves Self Esteem and the t/t.

On the other hand the first half has Bad Habit, Genocide, Keep Em Separated, Something To Believe In, Nitro. All great stuff.

Ignition is massively underrated. My favourite Offspring album. So glad I got to see them do it in full a few years ago.

Amazing how a band can write Ignition and Smash and then have such a huge downfall.

Is a letdown compared with smash but still is a relaly fun record, more mainstream but still pretty enjoyable and better than most of their pop punk contemporaries

I wasn't referring to this album in particular, though my rating is probably more of a 2.8 than 3 tbh. I meant their career from this album on in general.

COnspiracy still has some quality, since splinter offspring became dull

Conspiracy is absolutely dreadful for me, bottom of the barrel for me. Had this band quit after Smash or Ixnay they'd be legendary, early 90s Offspring is fucking fantastic.

The kids aren't alright is a stellar tune, rest ranges from average to slightly decent to really bad. Again, more of a 2.8 than a 3 for me tbh.

It's so hard to believe that the band who made Smash (one of my favorite 90s punk records) also made this. So goddamn cringey

When will people accept that Splinter is their only good album.

"When will people accept that Splinter is their only good album."

Lol nah, Splinter is pretty tame. Their first 3 are best by far imo.
