This was a beautiful review, a bit hyperbolic for my tastes, but beautiful and well-written nonetheless. I wish more people were less afraid of writing in their mother tongue, if they feel that would help them to express themselves better.

Concerning this album, it is growing slowly on me. Initially I downright disliked it, but I rediscovered it recently, and it sounded much better to me. Unlike you, I do not like the production on this one, it sounds muddy and cluttered up, but there is a warm and tenderness that keeps me going back to it.

I am still exploring in depth the first disc, which has some very fine moments, but I do not think this album will rank very high in my 2013 list, but it is a record worth checking out, if you have the patience.

@Zettel: Thanks man, means a lot to me =) French allows me to express myself in a way that English simply cannot unfortunately. I've got good Eng notions but French is where everything is possible.

As for the album, glad to know that's it's growing on you. ASC has a sense of detail kind of like Stanley Kubrick, generally once you grasp all or most of the details in a track it begins to make sense! For instance, "Are We On The Same Wavelength?" has an addictive sound that makes me feel, like I said in the review, that I'm about to tumble down the rabbit hole. It's just awesome but I didn't really notice it at first. "Nothing To Lose" is absolutely sublime because of the two melodies superposed on one another. Or the brooding bass in "The Infinity Pool". Every track has a something special but you really gotta hear it twice or more to find out (at least in my experience).

As for me I got the flac on Rutracker.

Honestly I don't find pure ambient music that interesting. Of course this sounds great, but ASC uses a lot of similar atmospherics on his other stuff which has the added advantage of also having his beat wizardry

@Zettel: I think the moment this album hit me I was in my bed! I had decided to give a listen before
going to sleep. All lights were shut in my room, and my eyes were closed as well. I wanted to know
where the tracks could possibly lead me if I focused solely on them. It's when I heard "Nothing To
Lose" back-to-back with "If Only For A Minute" that I fell in love with it.

The first part of "Satellite's Final Voyage" (ending track of the album) reminds me each time of a
scene in 2001. It's where we see the little starship travelling over the moon, everything is so
silent and yet there is a soundtrack. The first minute of this video:

there is a lot going on all the time, despite its deceptive simplicity.

I agree with you. The droning aspect of the album may be the culprit of such vapory and dense sound, that can be tiring at times. To ASC' credit though, his ambient incursion sounds quite unique, if not original.

Typhoner has a point: the ambient aspect of ASC's music has always be present; somehow I did not feel this work to be quite a departure in sound, but perhaps it is too much at two hours long. Still, it is an interesting experiment, and I find very commendable when artists do not try to play safe and take risks. I see what you mean with the "2001" scene.

Let us see how different this music can sound six months down the road.

Oh, yeah, I most certainly agree with you about the expertise ASC has in mixing beats and ambient.
Like Typhoner said he really is indeed a beat/percussion wizard. I remember being blown away by my
first listens of The Astral Traveller. I mean, sweet Jesus! Drum & bass would add such a
shape and a thickness to his sounds. Or techno & IDM. The intricate beats of Machine Love
that almost defy any genre-labelling. And so on.

The way I see it, if The Astral Traveller was the speed-of-light spaceship, Time Heals
All is the surrounding environment or even something more abstract than that: feelings,
metaphors, questions about the Above & the Beyond. I even used the word "metaphysical" in my review.
It's like the album is wondering about something, but what is it? From now on, whenever I
ponder about philosophical or spiritual conundrums, I might jam this ;P

On a sidenote, I just understood what Wallace & Gromit is!

Small bit of critique still, perhaps: you use a LOT of metaphors. They mostly apply, but I can see them be a bit too much for some readers.

I understand now. I've always associated Belgians with French but somehow I forgot about the Flanders
and I didn't know Dutch was the official language. Also, /facepalm, but I thought German and Dutch
were the same exact language. I learned something today!

And thanks a lot! Yeah, don't worry, I write a lot like that when I'm over-enthusiastic. I definitely
see what you mean. It's my péché mignon :-)
