This is the most beautiful album I have heard all year bar none. BAR FUCKING NONE! I'm gonna write a review for this tonight, probably spin this album another 4-5 times at least. This is just... I seriously think this is a 5. Right off the fucking bat, I think this is a perfect fucking album.

Eiffel and Glass Coughs are so great. Almost done with Dealer and loving the more subdued vocal style. These guys have pushed so far past 'Emo Revival' with this record. I like the lack of immediacy; there's no "Rory" or "The Medic" on this record, but the standard feels much higher throughout.

If I loved Rory and it's dark, gothic sort of vibe, but then was disappointed to find the rest of this album is actually more twinkly and bright... would I like the new album?

Ummmmm, maybe. It doesn't really sound like Rory, but it also doesn't seem nearly as twinkly or bright to me. It's pretty chill and introspective. I wouldn't really compare it much to this album at all other than maybe Magdalene and Glass Coughs.
