The cringe worthy lyrics, uninspired riffs and Rody's annoying vocals make this unbearable for me to listen to. It doesn't help that Rody basically makes fun of his suicidal fans by calling them attention seekers, live on stage. Rody's head is way too big now, I pretty much hate the guy. I used to have fun listening to this band in high school but not so much any more. I'll stick to Kezia and Fortress.

Yeah. They were a great high school band, but I grew out of them pretty quickly (not for the same
reasons though). And now that Arif is gone, I doubt I'll check out much of their new stuff unless it's
too good to not check out.

When did Arif go? The bass was the main reason for listening to this band for me.

Without Prejudice isn't about suicidal people, dipshit.

Arif quit around April. The last tour he did was the European one at the beginning of the year. He was (and will be) absent from all other tours of this album cycle though.

Damn, that's a shame. Did he have a falling out, or just decide that it wasn't for him anymore?

Hope he does something else, maybe solo work.

Nothing like that, Rody and him are still best friends, and same goes for the other members too. Arif had some other side projects going on already; he did a stage production (which was the official reason why he didn't do the North American tour at the end of 2013, btw that play will be on again next year) and he's been also playing in a western swing band called The Double Cuts. He felt touring with PTH wasn't really his thing anymore. He's still welcome by the band though to write or maybe even perfom on albums, or I guess help in any way. Who knows, he might even come back as a full member (although that seems very unlikely at this moment). Right now Cameron McLellan is their live bassist who had a bunch of writing credits on Volition, he produced the album too and also played on Without Prejudice. They said that Cam might not be the full time replacement though, he just finishes the Volition tours with them and they'll look for someone after that.

That is kinda not true, more like he used to be ONE of the souls of the band. May I remind you that he stopped writing lyrics (he wrote the lyrics to only 3 songs on Scurrilous and none on Volition) and that he hasn't got a single writing credit on Volition. Cam, on the other hand, has writing credit on 6 songs from Volition, he played the acoustic guitar on Plato's Tripartite and that crazy tapping solo on Without Prejudice was performed by him too. Music-wise, it's always been Luke and Tim who are the souls of the band.

And I'm not even trying to take anything away from Arif or say that I won't miss him like fuckin' crazy. Especially his live performances, since Cam's got the talents but somehow doesn't have the soul. I'm just stating facts. Losing Moe and Arif really won't change the band in any significant way now.

It really wouldn't kill them at all. It's not like their aren't other talented guitarists they could fine. It's just the songwriting process that could be in jeopardy.

Oh yeah, well I thought we were talking about songwriting all along. It's basically Luke and Tim writing the music, Rody coming in later to write lyrics. Cam helped too and Moe had already written drum parts for like half of the songs before leaving the band. I've heard that Mike (Ieradi, the new drummer) is already writing some stuff for the next album while they've been touring. It should be interesting to see if he brings in anything different. Although lot of people liked to shit on Moe, he was quite underrated imo. Definitely had his own style and it fit PTH's music really well.

"I think they can suffer one guitar loss"

I don't know, my favorite thing about pth is how they play off each other so well, interweaving or going back and fourth or just competing for the wank. I've never heard anything like it (if you have, please rec some for me). I feel like that's all chemistry.
