the end of underbite is amateurish?

i'm quite sure that's todd from propagandhi

he's been in the band for like 16 years.

you may not like it, but 'amateurish' is really the wrong word

great review otherwise

yeah... amateurish was a really wrong word...

I really like how the album has traces of every past Pth album... some punk vibes and political lyrics from A Calculated use of Sound, great vocal stuff and riffage, Fortress epicness and the unique Scurrilous approach.

But I feel the mixing is kinda weird... Rody's vocals are too loud and the instrumental part not so much, but its a lot better than the shitty mix in Scurrilous.

i guess the vocals are a little too loud and the cymbals too low in the mix, but until someone actually mentioned that i didn't really notice

Ya I'm the one that made a big deal about the mix being whack.

Can't stand it really.

Hey I love propoghandi too. Didn't find out it was Todd until later. I still stand by it sounding amateurish, but perhaps its the lyrics themselves that made me say that. His yelling just didn't do it for me there.

regardless of being amateurish/better than pth/whatever your opinion is, that was definitely a weird part to have todd lay down guest vocals, he probably would have sounded way better on a punkier part

album lacks standouts imo, has a lot of great riffs and vocal work, but no track really had me in awe

Never really heard a standout track on any PtH album anyway. I always thought their tracks were always consistent from one to the next.
