Crusade actually sounded like a band who was trying, this just sounds like a band who wasted their potential.

It's a shame, really.

I had no idea you were a Trivium fanboy Rob.

Jesus man, it isn't that bad an album. I agree that Draiman's input does interfere more then it does compliment the production but nothing that made this album as a whole average. There are some really solid songs on this.

Nice review, well written. The lyrical examples you used made me laugh with their simplicity. The blood on hands part is ridiculously stupid. I don't even think I'll listen to this.

It was pretty obvious this would suck, it's the logical evolution in their sound after in waves which was massively watered down already from Shogun which was actually a half decent album. They'll probably continue in this direction though much like All That Remains. It's a shame cause these guys obviously have potential to make good albums

I agree with Ikarus. There is good on this album, but they could've done a LOT better. This is such a disappointment.

It honestly sounds rushed.

In a way it kinda does. It's like they didn't really care much about it.

Finally the average drops down below 3...I was wondering when that would happen.

I find it amazing and somewhat sad these guys wrote Shogun. While that album wasn't amazing, it was still a pretty solid and ambitious record. Now they've regressed into this boring pile of mediocrity.

Shogun was definitely their best, can't deny that.

This isn't that bad. It's good if a bit repetitious. I don't understand how they don't see why Shogun and Ascendancy were their best.

It is that bad, we shouldn't lower expectations because bands lower their standards.

Yeah, but to me it's better than their debut. Their debut was horrible.

Don't get the hate. It's forgettable but it's such stupid fun it's hard to hate it for not being in any way progressive.

Either that or I can't stop staring at the moronic cover with a title 'Vengeance Falls'
