Only heard this dude's colabs with Kanye and he sucked but everyone is hyping on this. Think I'll give it a listen, not expecting it to beat anything by Danny Brown tho (which currently might be my fav rapper, him or Kanye).

lyrics really subpar. flow is awesome, decent beats, but I don't think I"ll listen to this again.

Skoj: well i mean i can understand if you don't feel like the album is cohesive (there are some duds

at times, and almost every feature save for only a couple is really bad) but i feel like his talent

is undeniable. if you're not into coke rap, which is a huge part of his thing, fine, but even

still his flows are great and his charisma takes his rhymes to crazy heights. his lyrics are strong

and even though he doesn't have as much wordplay on this album as he used in the past, i think he

brings the perfect style to each song and rips it whenever he's on the track (the exception being

let me love you but that's intentional). also if ad libs matter to you his are untouchable, but

that's more just augmentation.

this could just be the clipse stan in me talking though, i definitely get why people might not like

this album as a whole, but i definitely think that if you're not a fan of the lyricism after only a

cursory listen or two, you should keep trying because he's a really good all around mc, and he

really doesn't have a single verse on this album that (imo) isn't at the very least great (again i'm

not counting let me love you cause lol) - and that's something that i have trouble saying about most

albums.

King Push was an excellent intro to the album, and Numbers on the boards has (probably) my favorite beat of 2013. Nosetalgia was sick as fuck too and the video for it was perfect.

Gotta say I skip some songs though. album isn't that cohesive

yeah after having it for so long i def skip through a lot as well. 40 acres is like almost unlistenable now, but notb is my soty, and more than half of the album is still so good to me. hopefully he learns from the errors of having too much GOOD music and kanye influence for the next album, whether the clipse joint happens or not.
