I've just listened to it now and it's pretty damn good. Easily a 3 on first listen.

Very old school sounding Korn. Even the electronic bits are good, they don't really get in the way.

The rest of the album is just trying to be hip

garbage.

Lyrics are awful (As always) but they've got some alright riffs and pop structures on there.
For me the big question is, "Why would they release the terrible 'Never Never' as their lead single instead of Prey For Me or something like that?"

I have issues with Korn following Issues.

"Never never" was probably used to make their new fans from their last abomination buy this album. Cool marketing.

Maybe I need to listen to this again but after the first 3 tracks, this album totally fucking lost me.

That's cause it's teЯЯible!

Who gives a shit if a band isn't relevant anymore as long as they make music you like ? I guess it's just hip to hate on Korn while sitting on your high horses

Its not about high horses, its about whether the music sucks or not. And this just sucks. Thats coming from somebody who listened to Korn all through middle and high school, before Head left.

I don't need a horse to STUMP on Korn, a mud hole in that ass cause I'm straight out da swamp
|
| |
Then give me one metal band founded in the last 10 years that doesn't suck

Nice album, and certainly a vast improvement over their last album. The inclusion of 'Head' does seem to make an impact on the album's general sound, but many of the songs here are results of a tight, solid instrumental collaboration. The rhythm section is bouncy, melodic atmospheric at various intervals and Jonathan Davis sounds very confident in his vocal output, although at times his voice does seem to wear thin. Various songs on here make Korn sound once again fresh, but my personal highlights of the album would be 'Love & meth' and 'Paranoid and aroused'. I personally think the first three songs are similar to each other and so the second half the album is where it gets more experimental, but that's no massive problem at all.
