This album has been steadily growing off me since Melodrama came out. I still love 400 Lux and Ribs... but I find this album to be pretty un-dynamic, and that the minimalist backdrops I once thought were a strength sort of holds the album back now, especially in comparison to Melodrama where the instrumentals allow the songs to really soar. The lyrics also don’t resonate with me as much as they used to, which probably comes with growing up a bit.
