It does? Hmm, hadn't realised. Or indeed remembered.

I can't fathom how one would think this even comes close to the band's first three albums though.

Aside from the first, which imo they won't ever top, I like them all about evenly.

Edit (@Viney): Yeah, some sentences or sentiments you're describing were already in your previous one. It's not that big a deal, though. Just the first thing that popped into my mind after reading.

Slow day at the office. Had trouble finding my words for this one for whatever reason.

Monkeys albums tend to have recurring themes anyway, so I suppose it's easy to fall into a similar trap when reviewing them. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it...

Anyway, what is the consensus in ranking them in order of quality? I think mine might look a little like...

1. Whatever...
2. AM
3. Suck It & See
4. Favourite Worst Nightmare (although Brianstorm and Teddy Picker are great, just never got into this one)
5. Humbug (not actually a bad record at all, but certainly their least best)

Dunno about the consensus but for me

AM
Humbug
Suck it and See
Whatever...
Favourite Worst Nightmare

Although that tends to change like every week.

That's good to hear Humbug is really really underrated imo, Cornerstone is probably their best song.

Would always put My Propeller in their top ten songs, even though it's about him getting wanked off or whatever.

Innuendos all over the place in that song.

There are few Arctic Monkeys songs without innuendos though
