"I see the sides of everything, and I don’t take back what I said -we don’t want to play Warped Tour. But the worry is that someone who likes our band, who does go to Warped Tour every single year, would be upset because we think less of them. As if we’re saying, “Because you go to Warped Tour, we don’t like you.” Or something that gets taken to an extreme, which is completely not the case. It’s just that there are things on the bill that we would feel poorly about being part of. There are bands that preach things that are very sexist and misogynistic and all that, and if someone who is a TA fan, a female specifically, came to see us play but they had to watch a band play before or after us that make women come off as ‘less-than’ -they’re already made to feel that way in a lot of other areas of the world- to put them through that is fucking awful. I would feel responsible and guilty for that. I would rather just not be part of any of it. Our way of protesting it is to just not do it. I would rather just tour with bands that we respect and love, and have a more intimate experience, than play in a parking lot with bands we have nothing in common with. It’s just a personal thing for us."
