I really like this a lot.

No, no, it's payback. I'm looking at the album as I type this.
You know (bear with me here, this'll sound weird at first), there's a certain Dark Tranquility influence here.
Take The After-Dinner Payback, and DT's Monochromatic Stains- the intros are very similar, both featuring the same rhythm fingering (albeit in a different tuning), and a higher hammer-on/pull-off lick...
A few of the other tracks feature riffs that could almost be from DT's Damage Done or Character albums.
Of course, I'm by no means comparing the two bands. They're both totally different kettles of metal, and these influences are often brief or slight. It's just interesting to see some cross-genre appropriation here and there...although the two genres aren't THAT far apart.
Anyway, just an interesting observation.

The fiction album really suprised me as well. i thought it was going to be better just knowing that is was FATA. but like Stinger said its kind of grown on me and if u play the guitar they have some really cool riffs that you can learn to get faster. I hope their new cd is going to be better......

This has grown on me even more.

Fata is one of my fav. bands of all time and i have to say that it doesnt matter if the band got softer or not.... You always have to think about the band themselves and what they go through between each album..... TBYB is a great album very original and classy... TFWL is good too went alittle soft but still f'n rocked... Abandon your friends was alittle wierd at first but then i started to catch on to the songs.... But overall FATA is a great admireable band and i cant wait to hear what they come out with next.......
Thank you. I hate how people say they sold out with TFWL or AYF just because there's less screaming.

I prefer too bad you're beautiful album but I happened to know FATA due to the fiction we live album. both kick ass. i think the fiction we live is more accessible and easy for the peple who usually don't listen to this kind of screamo bands comparing with too bad you're beatiful album. my favorite lyrics parts are... 'words i write cheap and trite' from the milligram smile. cuz that's what i used to feel when writing sth and still. 'i'll bite and swallow and digest the hands that feed me' from i'm the best at ruining my life. idk y but i liked that. i think that there are some people like me who happened to know FATA as they listened to some songs in this album.. the fiction we live.

His vocals are, in fact, awful. He does a terrible job holding notes but instead slides his vocals down chromatically, thus making it sound like he is continuously falling off cliffs.
GREAT RECORD, THOUGH!

Pretty good album. Nice mix of stuff in it.

This is a bad review. You didn't even get the link between autumn's monologue and The fiction we live, did you?
She's voicing her concerns and he's adressing them.
You didn't provide any details, you obviously have no idea about this genre at ALL, you compare From Autumn To Ashes to TAKING BACK SUNDAY!? And Avril Lavigne...? Wow. You don't even describe the song.
You even said "this has nice 'metal' guitars" or something along those lines.
Jesus Christ..

yes, this reviewer seems to have no expertise in bad music at ALL

Im the best at ruining my life probably makes the list as one of my all time favorite songs...one of the only songs i listened to when i had to move last summer

"I'm the best at ruining my life" is such a jam. Love that song so much.

The After Dinner Payback came up on my i-pod today. It's been a couple years since I've heard anything from this band and they are not as good as I remember them being.

Talk about a nostalgic album. Might have to bump this up.
