It was a decent cover but nothing special, song doesn't really lend itself to an acoustic translation. A full-band, electric QOTSA cover would be legit.

Am I the only person that this hasn't grown on? Whole thing hit me on first listen.

It only grew on me a tad because I thought it was amazing on first listen, went up maybe .5 in Sput ranking terms on subsequent listens but that's it.

Edit: Just noticed the NME gave it 10/10 and said it's probably the album of the decade. Yawwwwwwn.
I actually liked the sentiment of the review though. Some claims are hyperbolic, sure, but I tought it was a great, enthousiastic review.

Arctic monkeys finally reached their sound they have been chasing since 'Humbug'
The first four tracks on this album are non stop pounding hits. I think the only disappointment on the album is the track 'Mad Sounds' which doesn't really seem to go anywhere.
I didn't expect much from this album and i really loved 'suck it and see', however this album really has a completely different sound and is a really interesting fun listen.
Great release!

Arabella rips off Sabbath so hard its not even remotely funny

Eh, it's just that one part of the song. Not really a big deal imo.
