tbh i cant say im disappointed since i wasnt expecting much

band needs to slow down and experiment some more, also more variety in song writing, so many songs sound the same

They are about the high octane. If they slow downs then it won't be Fleshgod anymore.. They'd become,,, SepticFleshThrone BorgirCalypse

These guys really haven't been able to match their debut.

I dunno, I kinda preferred Agony, but that was more a personal thing I was looking for.

This is over-saturated and repetitive. Just too over-bearing, throws all it has at you right away and doesn't change it up at all afterwards.

Why does nobody comment on the female's opera like voals? This is the closest thing to a symphonic metal band uness anyone can name other bands with similar vocal style. The opera like vocals and orchestra arrangments make this the most authenic symphonic metal band that i've found.

Certainly the most dramatic album of FA's career yet, and some songs really amazed me, more so than on previous albums. However, I think a few of the classical/operatic influences here seem forced and as a result grind against the rhythm section, as opposed to flowing along with it. As a result I found some songs underwhelming, particularly "The Fall of Asterion". However, making up for it I thought was the excellent triumvirate of "Prologue", "Epilogue" and "Under Black Sails", as well as my personal favourite from this album, "Elegy". All in all, not quite the band's best work (Their debut album holds that status for me), but certainly a keeper.

I legitimately expected to like this, but holy shit, this is a fucking atrocity. I'm honestly not a stickler for production, but listening to this album for more than a few minutes at a time is migraine-inducing. My grandmother could mix an album better than this, and she's dead.

Just listen to some Septicflesh if you want a version of this that isn't AIDS.

Classical music with blast beats lol. Guitars are so suffocated on their newer releases and this makes these albums kinda boring.
