KILL, out of curiosity, do you just automatically hate everything made in 2013? I've been seeing so many 1s on your page.

I actually liked the album; very mainstream rock, but has some pretty good hooks on it and very good production.

you guys forgot focus

This album has Requiem, Acid Rain, and that's about it. The rest is just mediocrity.

"I actually liked the album; very mainstream rock, but has some pretty good hooks on it and very good production."

Yeah, the production is actually pretty great for a mainstream album, minus some occasional sibilance. A bit too much 10 kHz in the EQ, I think. Also, the overall volume was rather low (about 94 dB or so), rather than these albums that push the gain over 100 dB which clips the hell out of them and destroys all the dynamics.

It's just too bad that "Coming Home" is the only song here even worth listening to.

I actually quite like the last track, but that doesn't exactly save it.

Author, I will not bust on your creativity...but if I saw you at an upcoming Avenged concert, and I plan on going to at least two, remind me to deck you! Thanks!

Listened again, sounds like a minimum of 3/5, but top end no higher than 4/5. The riffs in my
opinion
are better than in Nightmare, which I think is lacking in that department.

On my first listen I really thought it was average at best, but on second listen it did grow. A few
of these songs have some interesting bits that I wouldn't expect to hear from Avenged
Sevenfold. At least not after their creative metalcore phase ended.

I have no objection to the 2.6 average. This is pretty basic metal, but Avenged Sevenfold does it
really well besides the vocals. I'd bet deep inside you guys stand by your low ratings, but really
do enjoy a lot of the album.
