Sort of off topic. But earl's also gonna be on a Captain murphy track coming out soon that has DOOM on it as well as thundercat.

Earl's verse is kind of simple but that's what I like about it, it's more honest and it's a departure from his usual "stuff-as-many-rhymes-as-possible-into-one-bar" tactic. Same reason that I like Burgundy.

But yeah, FRANK

I thought Domo sucked on this. Vince had the sickest guest spot though.

Domo's verse on Knight is good but I don't care for him on 20 Wave Caps

"he sort of abandoned his narrative style of rapping-the thing that got him popular.
"

i think what people liked about EARL was all the dense rhyme schemes. the only narrative i remember from the debut was the one about that chick he liked. the rest was very "hurry i got nuts to bust and butts to fuck and cunts to fucking upper cut" stuff.. which there's plenty of here.

and the narrative is stronger and more frequent here imo

listened to this a few times now.. its obvious that the first half is the great part. 2nd half just slides downhill..and fast.

If the album kept the first halves standards, this would be rap AOTY.

Bit of a disappointment for one of the projects I was really looking forward to this year, I guess I was just looking for something a little more hard hitting!

Still pretty nice to listen to though. Hive, Centurion, Uncle Al and Hoarse are my highlights.
