"I know I was amazed. Two, three listens in and still, the album felt too difficult, and I began to wonder: was I simply approaching this thing in the wrong way?"

so cool how differently we all approach the whole concept of listening to music

everything about this album is great, i do think the lyrics are bit of a step down from the stuff on Controller but thats ok, they fit this album, In love with A Glimmer of Hope and Ursa.

I know man it's crazy, sometimes when I get a new album, before I put the earbuds in my ears I put them in my butt and turn it on and I can tell by how the soundwaves affect my ass whether it's a good album or not

and for some people like omaha they will listen to a album they don't like 3-4 times whereas I will ditch it after 1.5 times

I was a bit underwhelmed my first few listens as well. Now this is probably my second favorite album from them behind Controller.

The last two tracks kinda drag the album down a bit, Ursa Minor is easily one of the worst songs theyve written, but mostly I love this. The way that violin comes in on Luminary just gets me every time

I never know whether to trust sputnik with stuff like this. I just know that if I finally cave and listen to this, I'll give it like a 3 and be pissed that I even bothered.

This is how I feel with about 90% of what this site hypes up
