Well I've only listened to their second album (Eidolon) in its entirety, but imagine Freddie Mercury singing lead vocals for Tool.

I'm not the biggest fan of Tool, I think they have some problems as songwriters, but that does sound pretty swell. Thanks man, I'll check it sometime. I remember hearing Freaks and Monsters back in the day, was a great track.

@sitar fuckin agreed. Eidolon alpha is an amazing track

@rowan try out eidolon man it's amazing. And don't worry the tool influence is apparent but they are not clones of tool. The lead singer is like a crazy combo of Maynard, Freddy, and Gavin Hayes.

And about the screaming I legit never heard them scream before. Guess I didn't listen hard enough in those tracks haha

Yeah Mongi I just listened to Eidolon and Feathergun, both fantastic. Sucks that they broke up.

Weird that you didn't hear the screaming lol, I thought it was pretty hard to miss in L1FEL1KE and Scarabs, but oh well.

I honestly didn't lol if there was there wasn't much of a focus on it.and I've never heard ther eps before. Sorry people

guess I was wrong haha

Glad you liked it dude. Eidolon is one of my favorite albums ever. Even though the production could be better but I got over

that real quick.

Yeah I was just thinking the production isn't great but I can deal with it, they all rule at their instruments and the singer's a beast. On a sidenote, fuck me they knew how to write good interludes, Karnivool could learn from them.

Ok I edited that about the screaming.

@Rowan Dude I was just thinking that. In Pill Form is a stunning interlude. Plus Prosag really builds up to Freaks And Animals well. The production is the only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 I just can't do it cause of it haha they almost perfected the production on Feathergun which is good :D

From Downhill onward Feathergun is just perf. And yeah My Favorite Things, Weeble and Pill are all just brilliant interludes. Loving that hidden track after Shades too, so delightfully weird.

The hidden track is the only track I didn't like actually haha Weeble Wooble has some fuckin great vocalizing. It's kinda cool that he goes a little pitchy in some of the songs because I think that's intentional. To make his voice sound broken and vulnerable cause of the possible shit they went through.

I dig the hidden track hard it's the perfect way to end it. And yeah the things he does with his voice are pretty freaking incredible. What exactly was the "shit they went through"?

Idk like for anyone to write a song as bleak as Pandora or Eidolon Alpha obviously had a hard time.

Just what it sounds like to me haha maybe they just enjoyed righting bleak lyrics. Maybe they just had

more meaning to them, but who knows man.

Oh ok I thought there was like a specific thing you were referring to but I see what you mean. Evidently they did go through some shit though or else I'd imagine the singer wouldn't have left.

Anyway better hit the sack now, catch you later man.

Yup, it's final. This album is a fucking mess. The mix is SO bad. I don't understand why a lot of people can't hear it. I like raw sounding albums, or polished albums, but this is neither. A shame, because the songs themselves are pretty good.
