I can't decide if this album is lacking big, stand-out moments, or if the whole album is a stand-out moment. Definitely less immediate than TITW, but there seems to be more focus on whole compositions over melodies and big choruses...

...but the chorus of "The Veil" is probably the highlight moment of the entire album, and maybe the best they've ever written. Seriously, is it just me or is that song fucking awesome?

The Veil is great!

Definitely an audience participation song.

Pretty nice, but absolutley 0% development is a little dissapointing.

Guys, did all of you go "holy shit this is going to be awesome" when that guitar faded in at the intro? Not much development (read: none), but this still rule; don't fix what isn't broken and all of that.

the first couple tracks i wasn't super impressed with the vocals. the melodies he made just didn't seem inspired and he almost sounds like he's just going through the motions.

Lodestar is the first track where I feel he has his head in the game so to speak

All in all, a solid sophomore album. Hope these guys do another US tour

I actually think Lodestar is the weakest on the album and very reminiscent of their older music. Just as i thought their first
single One Step was a weak track on TITW.

But that's not saying much because both those songs would be a masterpiece on any other artists record.

I find this to be more of a honing of their sound than a development, which is perfectly acceptable considering it's only their second LP, and also how awesome TITW is.

They go into certain ambient/electronic sections within certain songs (last minute of I Am)

I would love to see them take that on and implement it within more songs.

Album is sweet. Nice to see they finally found the distortion pedal.

Say Your Prayers and Stand Apart are awesome tracks

Woah Vooligan's alive, sweet.
Haven't listened to this yet but the songs I heard sounded pretty shit to be honest.

I am amazed that no talks about the real issue here. That their self titled EP was the best work they have ever done.

If i could hear said material from this unreleased demo, maybe it could compare, ep and warning were both good.

Wow the first time I've actually been extremely impressed with a new 2013 album. Might even grow into a 5 as I listen more

s/t is indeed best. "The Mile" is still my favorite song they've ever done. Such a sweet opener.
