To me this is Revocations strongest and most focused moment, admitidely the song writing might not be has interesting as on their earlier albums but I'd say the album still feels more consistent as a whole and songs like Archfiend, The Gift You Gave , and Invidious are still amazingly well done. Dis album jamz m/!

As I listen to this, I find myself trying to tune out the vocals. The instrumentals are so good all around with just enough technicality and speed, yet the vocals ruin this album for me. They are pretty predictable and bland, changing pitch and tone just ever so slightly but never really showing any variation whatsoever. This will go down to me as yet another good band ruined by generic vocals.

I wouldn't call the vocals generic. Sure, other bands implore a similar style, but there are certainly other vocal approaches that are much more overused.
The vocals are definitely an acquired taste.

Vocals are extremely sibilant. The producer dropped the ball in that aspect.

"I wouldn't call the vocals generic. Sure, other bands implore a similar style, but there are

Not to exasperate the issue, but you kind of proved my point. Countless modern metal bands across all
sub-genres use this specific style of vocalization, and therefore it is an overused and commonly
generic vocal style. For it to be this popular, many people must dig that kind of thing. I just can't
for whatever reason. But surely you can't deny that the vocals are generic if you know the definition
of the word.

You missed my point entirely.
But surely you can't deny that the vocals are generic
Revocation's vocal style isn't super common, especially in their sub-genre. They have this gruff and force to them that is reminiscent of hardcore. That isn't exactly a common mix with a death tinged thrash band.
Revocation vocals have always been a divisive topic. His shout is a hurdle for people because they're unlike the typical thrash band shout/growl.
If you want to prove me wrong, link bands who emplore similar vocals.
