I will definitely do the eponymous album -I'm jamming it right now- and yes I will do them all in due time.

I didn't like that album nearly as much. In fact, it's near the bottom of their discography for me.

I've only heard their latest album and got the sinking feeling that it may be a while before I get accustomed to Voivod's musical style. Is this significantly different from Target Earth?
I don't think you'd like this album as much as Target Earth. This one is much more abrasive. Check out The Outer Limits and Infini.

I thought so too. Also, anyone into these guys should check out the Songs for Insects album by Thought Industry.

If it had like 8-9 songs in it, it would look much better. Imho, the bottom of Voivod's discography belongs to Infini, a low 3.5 for me. The eponymous album is a round 3.5, for reasons other than music as well.

Ace review. Still need to hear this.

Regardless I don't think it will be better than Target Earth though, debating about giving that my aoty honour.
