Slayer has its place, I would not call them extreme, they are a metal band, keep it as simple as that, Slayer in moderation is good, after awhile, everything gets scrambled together, this is awesome though

it still is I'd say, but yea for that time especially. this one is obviously a slower and more eerie album. I guess you guys don't agree about the definition of extreme in metal. in my experience, "extreme" had usually been attributed to thrash, death and black metal bands, I'm assuming because of the significant increase in intensity and speed when compared to earlier heavy metal.
