The "You're new to me..." hook in Sky Machine is pretty much the best thing ever.

Yes this is definitely their most challenging release yet. Will need a lot more time to grow. Stand out track was Sky Machine, fuck me. So good!

I've had this for about four days right now and agree with the review. Album is fucking awesome.

Fantastic review SitarHero, you should be proud.

As for the album I'm only listening to it for the second time now and I know it's going to be a favourite for years to come just like Sound Awake, I've waited four whole years for this release and it doesn't seem to disappoint.

Definitely fails to 'wow' on a first listen, might bother to come back to it at some point.

Aeons and especially the outro of We Are are definite highlights though. The Refusal also continues to grow on me, despite my intolerance of non-clean vocals. I love its offkey riffin'

This was immediate for me, but I can see why it wouldn't for some.

This is a grower like Sound Awake, but I kinda doubt it's gonna end up as good as that

Yeah definitely a grower. Lovely review SitarHero by the way. Oddly enough I can't quite get into Sky Machine like everyone else, I'll give it some more time though. Favourites so far are Aeons, We Are, Eidolon and Alpha Omega.

Sky Machine / Aeons / A.M War were the standouts first time around for me.

Still loving The Refusal and We Are. Also the quality of The Refusal is tenfold to the old shitty radio rip. I still remember people panicking about the production of that track.

Alpha Omega really growing on me. Love the groove in the first clean section. I was really expecting a big finish to kick in on both this track and Aeons, but I guess they get points for restraint.

After a few listens my favourites would have to be A.M. War, We Are, The Refusal, Aeons and Sky Machine. The whole thing is pretty awesome though.

Why is everyone rating this already? Is that what people do on this site - rate after 1 listen? Because that would explain a lot
