One of my fav band.

the album is good but...

I still like them a lot.

This is a strange relationship.

"they never change at all, yet no one seems to mind"

they would probably suck at experimentation, let them do what they know best.

Only song here that isn't standoutworthy is 9. The rest go hard. Much better than their last two albums.

Agreed hard

Twlight is better. This is only a little bit better than Surtur.

Their last three releases were all solid, but left something to be desired. Every Amon Amarth album
adds 2 or 3 killer songs for their live setlist, so I can't be to hard on the topic.

don't even have to listen to this to know this will be a 2.5. super bland band. their particular brand of metal does nothing for me

Every Amon Amarth Debate:

Person A: "All their songs sound the same"
Person B: "Yeah, but all their songs sound the same"

About time Valkarian. But let's face it, everybody in A.A is a burly motherfucker that deserves a supporting role in a blood spattering viking flick.

Amon Amarth members should all be on that show Vikings. Then I would actually watch it.

There certainly are an awfully large number of tool-bags on this forum. Album kicks arse by the way, like all AA albums (in my opinion). They're going to be the highlight of Soundwave 2014 for me.

Versus The World and WOoOS are amazing. Twilight of the Thunder God is good. This and Surtur are equally meh.

Kalmah is the only other melodeath band I can think of without a bad album, so close enough. good review, pos'd.
