It rehashed Paranoid by repeating the formula same basic formula. Slightly less blues influence, and lower tuning, but the same basic criteria is there. They're the most similar albums really, before the experimental phase kicked in with Volume 4. The Paranoid/MOR sound is the signature Sabbath sound really.

The formula for the songs on MoR doesnt sound anything like any song on Paranoid. If anything SBS and
Sabotage are the most similar

See i think SBS and Sabotage are different entirely. Sabotage takes the progressive element on SBS to a whole new level. It's twice as heavy, not in the conventional sense like Black Sabbath, Electric Funeral etc, but it breaks new ground. Early speed metal, prog metal, and darker subject matter. Compared to the string laden, lighter SBS it's totally different imo.

is this still fuckin going on
i don't know what kind of second rate crack you're cutting your poser teeth on but MoR is way different than paranoid
|
| |
Agreed. Just like MoR is totally different to Paranoid. Just compare the openers alone, Sweet Leaf is nothing like War Pigs both in sound and structure

They're really not that different. Black Sabbath? Sure. Vol 4? Definitely. But their 2nd and 3rd records are the most similar ones.

what tone deaf fag thinks sweet leaf sounds anything like war pigs

Yeah, let's resort to name calling.
The structures of those two songs are different. They aren't Motorhead. But they clearly used their last record as inspiration when writing MOR.
|
| |
that makes sense because they wanted to stay fuckin consistent like a good band should; so while it's still definitely sabbath the atmosphere and edge are nowhere in the same realm as paranoid

I'm sure he had too much beer when he wrote all those Paranoid/MoR
comparisons.
