ViperAces, did you ever check out that Damn the Machine album I mentioned? It's chill prog that features Chris Poland (ex-Megadeth... just in case you didn't know) on lead guitar.

I think it takes a true Queensryche fan to appreciate the greatness of this album. Having them be my first ever "favorite band" growing up, and having the Promised Land totem pole be my first tattoo, you can imagine how upset I was with pretty much everything from HITNF on. And especially the last few terrible releases.
This is not their best album, its a little bit too short for my liking, but I understand why, and the sound quality is off in a few places. But as soon as I got my pre-ordered cd and blasted it in the car for the first time I literally said to myself, "now THIS is Queensryche!"
This album is a gigantic step in the right direction for them.
